Educational requirements ( शैक्षिक आवश्यकता ) : 1) Master Degree in Fisheries Science from a recognized University. OR 2) M.Sc. in Zoology/Marine Biology with specialization in Fisheries from a recognized University.
Experience requirements ( अनुभव ) : Three years experience in the field of Inland and Marine Fisheries Development.
Eligibility criteria ( योग्यता ) : Officer under the Central/ State Govts. /UTs /(Semi Govt./Statutory Bodies/Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies/Recognized Research Institutions): (i) Holding analogous posts in the Parent Cadre/Department on regular basis; OR (ii)With five years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the Scale of Pay of `9300-34800 with Grade pay of `4200 in PB-2 OR equivalent in the Parent Cadre/Department:
Job responsibilities / description ( उत्तरदायित्व) :To assist the Director of Fisheries in: –  Responsible for formulation of programmes for implementation under the scheme.  Responsible for monitoring and implementation of the scheme.  Responsible for selection of beneficiaries for providing the benefits.  Responsible for identification / specification of the stores required by the beneficiaries.  Responsible for submission of proposals for procurement of the items under the scheme, transportation and distribution to the fisheries offices in outlying areas.  Responsible for proper collection of revenue and remittance to the Govt.  Responsible for assess and evaluate the implementation of programmes under the scheme from time to time and take remedial measures of the short fall if any.  When posted in Zonal Fisheries Office – over all In-charge of the Zone and also a D.D.O and Head of Office of that establishment. His main responsibilities are to implement all the State as well as Central Schemes in his jurisdiction.  Shall act as Authorized Officer under the A & N Islands Marine Fishing Regulation, 2003 and Rules framed there under and also the Asst. Public Information Officer under Right to Information Act.  Any other works assigned from time to time.

General instructions ( सामान्य निर्देश ) : (a) During the period of deputation he/she will have the option either to get his/her pay fixed in the direct post under the operation of the normal rules or to draw pay of the post held by him/her in his/her parent department plus deputation(duty) allowance in accordance with and subject to the condition, as modified from time to time and such other general or special orders issued by the Govt. of India; (b) In addition to the pay, the selected officer will be entitled to Dearness Allowance at Central Govt. rates. (c) Special Compensatory Allowance at flat rate as admissible under the orders of the Govt. of India. (d) She/he will be entitled to T.A and joining time both on joining the post on deputation and on reversion from this Administration under the rules of the borrowing department to which he is deputed. The expenditure on this account will be born by the borrowing department. (e) Free Sea Passage once in a year for self and family members while proceeding to/returning from leave in accordance with the orders in force from time to time. (f) Leave Travel Concession as admissible under the rules. (g) Unfurnished residential accommodation subject to general review from time to time or House Rent Allowance in lieu thereof. (h) Deputation Allowance as admissible under the rules. (i) Tenure – initially for 1(one) year, but may be extended upto a maximum three years. (j) The deputation will commence on the date on which he/she assumes charge of the post under the Administration. (k) In respect of matters not specified above, the selected officer shall be governed by rules and orders in force from time to time in respect of Government servants of his category serving under the A&N Administration.
